Faction Dinner

It was really good to catch up with all you guys, seriously thanks for even coming into my life. I know it's kind of hard to keep up but let's stay in contact yeah :)

(This part is not really important) I want this post to be completely about faction dinner so I shall not talk about what happened before that. Ok, yesterday at 4.30 I met Elyssa and Wan Ting at Parco Bugis to get the birthday girls to be presents. We went into Bugis Junction and walked all over trying to find something good for them but we kind of sucked at it so we spent damn long! The first things we bought: Two fake lizards. It was like a back-up thing, in case we couldn't find presents for them, we'd just throw the lizards at them or put it in the cake or something. But then we didn't want to do the latter 'cause we decided that not only will the birthday girls will get stomachache, we will also get it (and that is what matters). Intuitively, we would get something princessy and pink for Penelope, so were thinking whether to get her this box thing. It was on display so Wan Ting went to fiddle with it and one of its drawers dropped to the ground and unfortunately the salesgirl was just beside and she picked it up (actually wanted to thank her), but then she started examining the drawer and then she said there was a chip and we had to buy it. Once broken considered sold. Uh, so we got it. Penelope, hope you don't mind, it doesn't look chipped anyway, if you don't scrutinise like the salesgirl. Anyway, we put one lizard into the drawer. Then we went to search for Yi-Lin's present, it was hard 'cause we didn't know what she likes, in the end we got this really cute and big teddy bear for her, it was very nice to touch. And we stuffed another lizard into it's bow, hehehe. We were supposed to meet Hui Qi and Jia Wen outside Swensen's to get the cake at 5 but we ended up being 45 minutes late, so they came over to look for us at Lovelyland while we were getting Yi-Lin's present.

(This part is more important) We went down to Swensen's to get a cake. (It's getting like a faction thing, Swensen's is our birthday cake supplier already.) They couldn't help us customize what we wanted on the cake but they just gave us a birthday tag thing and candles. Initially we wanted to go eat at Seoul Garden but we went to Bugis Cafe instead 'cause we've heard that the food there are not fresh and stuff, so yeah. We went to the cafe and asked them help us keep the cake in the freezer and we ordered our stuff first and asked them to serve later, 'cause the birthday girls were not there yet, they were LATE! But who ask them be birthday girls, got privilege lor. Elyssa and I went to look at earrings first and guess what, we got red and white star earrings and we exchanged with each other one so we have one red one white, just in time for National Day! (Haha whatever happened to the rose earrings we got during Chinese New Year with the others?) After a million years, Penelope and Yi-Lin came and they ordered their food. We waited for damn long for all the food to come, Jia Wen sort of complained to the person-in-charge so we got three complimentary cookies. They couldn't see that there were seven of us, so. By the time all our food arrived, it was like 7.30 plus already. My bolognaise came first and I think it hardened.

Elyssa and I kept trying to steal Jia Wen's fries, and we tried to steal Wan Ting's but she was smarter :)

Emelia: Eh look, isn't she from our school.
Elyssa: Ya hor, blah blah blah
(Jia Wen turns around to look)
EMELIA AND ELYSSA VIGOROUSLY STEAL ALL HER FRIES.

Elyssa, Wan Ting and I gave the girls their presents and I dropped the present when I wanted to pass it to Penelope!! Haha then we all screamed and everyone looked at us, zzz. Fated to be dropped ah the present, luckily it didn't break if not Penelope's heart will also break. We gave Yi-Lin her present and then we told her to hug it so that she could spot the hidden lizard, hahaha. But she wasn't shocked/ scared, apparently. Mission failed -.- She was supposed to shriek/ shout/ scream or something la oi! Hehe I got a video of Penelope opening her present, couldn't get that of Yi-Lin 'cause she wasn't sitting opposite of me, sorry! Look at Penelope's expression when she opened that drawer, hahaha. Ok, that's for the opening presents part, hope you all liked the present we got for you!

Then it was finally dinner, I think we sat there for the longest!

Dinner was good and after dinner was supposed to be even better but Hui Qi the great actually accidentally told the birthday girls our plan! HUI QI, NI WEI SHEN ME YAO ZHE YANG ZUO!? Haha it's okay, we couldn't carry it out anyway 'cause Penelope ate so slowly, zzzz. Hui Qi was supposed to bring Penelope and Yi-Lin to the toilet but she couldn't stand the overwhelming pee. Haha so Elyssa, Jia Wen and I went to supposedly secretly get the cake and the guy at the counter didn't have a lighter so we borrowed one from this Malay :) There was particularly strong wind coming out from our mouths so the candles kept going off, haha. But we managed to get them all lighted up and we walked into the cafe and sang a song. Ok but they were not that surprised but I know they were touched deep down inside! We didn't have plates so we asked the to pass us some plates, yeah. And then we realised we didn't have a knife. I guess the temptation of the cake was so great that we decided to eat straight from the cake with the forks! It was so sweet okay we shared the cake, we didn't cut it up!!

Why is Penelope so excited.

We finished the 600 grams cake within a few minutes and before we left we said thank you to the waiters and waitresses for tolerating with our behaviour and stuff, we caused them so much trouble!

We looked at earrings and stuff, Wan Ting wore all the red and white accessories and then I took a picture of her and she looks like she has a halo over her head! It was just a coincidence, Wan Ting.

We wanted to go watch fireworks but then when I called my parents, they said there weren't fireworks, yeah, they were waiting for fireworks there too. Mm, then Elyssa and I had to go. We crossed the road over to the more civilised Bugis and then we had a group hug :D It was as if we're never gonna see each other again la! Ok, after that I went to somewhere else but I do not want to mention 'cause this is supposed to be a faction dinner post, so.

Ok ciao, I'm going to queue for donuts (LOL NO LIFE, LIKE WEIHUI SAID), but I'm not gonna get many, if you want you can text me or something, I can pass it to you in school tomorrow.
